Tiger Search Mission at Infosys Mysuru Campus Ends Without Success

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Forest Department has called off its mission to locate a tiger that was reportedly spotted on the Infosys Mysuru campus. Despite several days of extensive search operations, including the use of drones, the tiger could not be found.
The presence of the tiger was initially confirmed on December 31, 2024, through CCTV footage captured at the Infosys campus located in the Hebbal Industrial Area. Following the sighting, a special task force from the Forest Department launched a search operation, but there were no signs of the animal.
The team then expanded its efforts to thoroughly search the 370-acre campus. However, the tiger remained elusive, leading to the decision to conclude the mission.
As a safety precaution after the sighting, Infosys had implemented work-from-home options for employees and temporarily relocated those residing on the Mysuru campus to its Bengaluru campus until January 26, 2025.
The search team, led by Mysuru Deputy Forest Conservator Basavaraj, had installed 12 CCTV cameras across the campus to monitor the tiger’s movements. However, despite these measures, no further evidence of the tiger was found.
