Former Congress Social Media Cell Admin Dies by Suicide in Kochi; Alleged Threats from Party Faction

P.V. Jain, the former Ernakulam District Coordinator of the KPCC Digital Media Cell, was found dead by suicide in his office in Kochi. The Palarivattom resident was discovered hanging inside the office. Police stated that a suicide note found at the scene indicated personal problems as the reason for his death, with financial difficulties also suggested as a contributing factor.
Prior to his demise, P.V. Jain had lodged a formal complaint with KPCC President Sunny Joseph, alleging that he had received threats from members of the digital media team who are supporters of Rahul Mankootam. Jain had reportedly opposed the ongoing cyber-attacks targeting prominent leaders, including V.D. Satheesan and several women leaders within the party. He had also submitted a complaint regarding these threats to the Leader of the Opposition.
Following these complaints and internal conflicts, the Digital Media Cell was subsequently dissolved. The incident has sent shockwaves through the political circles, particularly within the Congress party in Kerala.
