Kottayam: Sibi Thottupuram, a prominent figure who served for an extended period as the State Treasurer of Janata Dal and as the LDF convenor in Pala, has officially joined the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). Thottupuram, a well-known film producer and businessman, publicly embraced his new political affiliation at a ceremony held in Erattupetta, receiving his membership from Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi, a respected member of the SDPI National Working Committee.
During the event, Thottupuram stated that his decision to join the SDPI marks the best choice in his three-and-a-half-decade long political career. A native of Pala, Sibi Thottupuram has an extensive background in film production. His notable works include producing films such as ‘Oru Yathra’, ‘Kili Poyi’, and ‘Honey Bee’ in 2013, followed by ‘Mannar Mathai Speaking 2’ and ‘Hi I Am Tony’ in 2014.
