CPI Expels Local Leader V.V. Noushad Following Hybrid Cannabis Arrest

Kozhikode: The Communist Party of India (CPI) has expelled local leader V.V. Noushad from all party positions and membership following his arrest at Chennai International Airport for possession of hybrid cannabis. Noushad, who served as the Cheruvadi branch secretary, was removed due to his involvement in activities deemed contrary to party principles.
The CPI Mandalam Secretary, K. Shajikumar, confirmed Noushad’s expulsion through an official press release. The arrest took place last Friday when Customs officials apprehended Noushad with hybrid cannabis valued at three crore rupees. He was among the passengers who arrived from Bangkok late Friday night when customs intercepted him with the illicit substance.
