Air India Flight Returns to Kannur After Bird Strike During Take-off

An Air India flight, carrying approximately 180 passengers, was forced to return to Kannur International Airport on Sunday morning after experiencing a bird strike shortly after take-off. The flight, which departed from Kannur at around 6:30 AM en route to Abu Dhabi, made its return approximately 45 minutes later.

Upon landing, the aircraft was moved to an airport bay for a thorough safety inspection. Authorities confirmed that initial assessments revealed no significant damage to the plane.

Airport officials have announced that arrangements are currently underway to transport the affected passengers to Abu Dhabi. They will be accommodated on an alternative flight arriving from Sharjah to Kannur.
