Yellow Alert Issued for Several Kerala Districts Amidst Rain Forecast

A yellow alert has been declared for various districts in Kerala, anticipating the likelihood of significant rainfall in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated heavy rainfall across these regions.

Specifically, a yellow alert has been issued for:

  • Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts for tomorrow (July 2).
  • Kannur and Kasaragod districts for July 3.
  • Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts for July 4.
  • Kannur and Kasaragod districts for July 5.

“Heavy rain” is defined as rainfall ranging from 64.5 millimeters to 115.5 millimeters within a 24-hour period. Authorities advise residents in these areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
