Voter List Controversy: Clean Chit to Suresh Gopi; No Case Will Be Filed on T.N. Prathapan’s Complaint

Thrissur: Police have announced that no case will be registered against Union Minister Suresh Gopi regarding allegations of irregularities in the voter list. This decision by the police comes in response to a complaint filed by Congress leader T.N. Prathapan, who alleged that Suresh Gopi and his brother fabricated documents to vote in Thrissur.
The police found that Prathapan was unable to provide sufficient evidence to substantiate his allegations. Based on this report, the police concluded that a case could not be filed. However, the police also stated that the case would be reconsidered if more documents are received from the district administration or the Election Commission.
Former MP T.N. Prathapan had filed the complaint on August 12, demanding action against Suresh Gopi. The complaint stated that Suresh Gopi is a permanent resident of Thiruvananthapuram and had submitted a false affidavit claiming to be a permanent resident of Thrissur to vote there.
