Voter Collapses and Dies at Polling Booth in Kannur

Kannur: A 48-year-old man, K.P. Sudheesh, a resident of Morazha, collapsed and died at a polling booth while attempting to cast his vote in the local body elections. The tragic incident occurred at the Morazha South L.P. School booth.
Sudheesh had arrived at the polling station to exercise his franchise and encountered a considerable crowd. Recognizing his apparent health issues, authorities intervened and allowed him to bypass the queue, escorting him directly into the booth. However, just moments before he could cast his vote, Sudheesh suddenly collapsed.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite prompt efforts, medical professionals were unable to save his life. Sudheesh was reportedly a lottery vendor. Following his demise, his body has been transferred to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for necessary inquest proceedings.
