Vellappally Natesan Slams Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar, Alleges Misconduct and Devaswom Board Corruption

Alappuzha: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has launched an extremely sharp criticism against Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar. Vellappally alleged that Ganesh Kumar attained his ministerial position by exploiting Saritha. He further accused the minister of being a personification of arrogance.
“If you say Ganeshan many times, you will get blessings. Which Ganeshan? Ganeshan is Vigneshwara. Natesan is his father. Who is Natesan? Shiva. What can be said about this Ganeshan who backstabbed his father? Didn’t this Ganeshan backstab his father, mother, and sister? This is a duplicate Ganeshan. He is the Transport Minister, isn’t he? Can a Transport Minister run parallel transport?” Vellappally questioned, delivering a scathing attack on the minister.
Shifting his focus, Vellappally also highlighted widespread corruption within the Devaswom Board temples. “There is theft happening in all Devaswom Board temples. No one can say there is no theft. If these systems continue, people will continue to dip their hands into the honey pot. Temple income accounts are not accurate. The entire system must change. The exposure of corruption is Ayyappan’s blessing. Corruption in the Devaswom Board is coming out in many forms, like doors and planks. Corruption occurred not just during one person’s tenure, but during many. Padmakumar is a huge problem,” he asserted.
Vellappally further called for a complete overhaul of the Devaswom Board’s administrative structure. He stated that if a corruption-free administration is desired, the current system must be restructured. He added, “No matter who comes, this corruption will continue incessantly until the end of the world. The Travancore Devaswom Board is not needed. Why not create a single board and place an IAS officer at its head?” He clarified that his statements were not against the Brahmin Sabha and apologized if they felt otherwise. He concluded by accusing the Devaswom Board of having degenerated into a refuge for politicians without other viable positions.
Addressing other state matters, Vellappally criticized the government’s stance on reservation in aided schools, calling it incorrect. He argued that the judgment favorable to the NSS should have been implemented for everyone, alleging that the government yielded to pressure when the Christian community intervened.
In a separate note, Vellappally praised G. Sudhakaran, describing him as an owner of pure politics. He emphasized that Kerala and Alappuzha cannot afford to ignore Sudhakaran. He also urged Sudhakaran to be open to the growth of other party leaders, reminiscing that Kerala truly became aware of a PWD minister during Sudhakaran’s tenure. Vellappally concluded by expressing that it would be upsetting if Sudhakaran were excluded from party programs.
