UDF Candidate and Former Thiruvananthapuram Councillor V.R. Sini Dies After Collapsing
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: V.R. Sini (50), the United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate for the Idavakkode ward in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, tragically passed away today after collapsing. The incident occurred at her family home in Elamkulam, Sreekaryam.
Sini was immediately rushed to the Medical College Hospital, but despite efforts, she could not be revived.
She was a well-known figure in local politics, having previously served as a Councillor in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. The unfortunate news comes just a day after the election results were declared, where Sini narrowly lost the Idavakkode ward by a margin of 26 votes.
Beyond her political career, V.R. Sini was also a successful entrepreneur. She held a pharmacy degree from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College and operated her own pharmacy establishment, contributing significantly to the local business community.
