Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Deputy Mayor Ashanath has described her recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a moment that will forever remain a blessing and an inspiration in her life. The Deputy Mayor shared her emotional experience in a heartfelt Facebook post, stating that the moment she respectfully touched the Prime Minister’s feet at a BJP event in Thiruvananthapuram, it became etched in her soul.

Ashanath recounted the profound encounter, saying, “When I respectfully touched his feet, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, who stands at the pinnacle of power, humbly touched my feet in return. In that moment, I forgot myself, and my eyes welled up with tears. They were not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, pride, and gratitude.”

She further elaborated on her perception of Prime Minister Modi, asserting that she saw not merely power in him, but “the soul of India” and its culture. Ashanath emphasized that humility is indeed true greatness, and expressed her overwhelming joy, stating that words could not contain her happiness. Her post included photographs from the memorable meeting.

During the same event, Prime Minister Modi was also seen embracing and congratulating Mayor V.V. Rajesh.
