SNDP Yogam Backs School Zumba, Criticizes Opposition from Muslim Groups

SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has voiced strong support for the government’s decision to proceed with Zumba training in schools. He stated that the SNDP fully backs Zumba and criticized the stance taken by a section of Muslim leadership against it, calling their position incorrect.

Natesan alleged that attempts are being made to unnecessarily create issues and hurt religious sentiments, urging those involved to withdraw from such efforts. He further added that if someone claims there’s an attempt to create a religious nation or a religious state, it would be hard to deny.
