Six Youths Die in Series of Road Accidents Across Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Six youths tragically lost their lives in three separate road accidents that occurred across various parts of Kerala within a short span of five hours. The incidents, which collectively resulted in six fatalities, took place between 8 PM yesterday and 1 AM this morning in Kottayam, Kozhikode, and Malappuram districts.
**Kottayam: Two Deaths in Car-Lorry Collision**
In an accident reported at Thalayolaparambu in Kottayam, Murtas Ali Rasheed, a resident of Karippadam, and Riddick, a resident of Vaikom, succumbed to their injuries. The collision involved a car and a lorry on the Ernakulam-Kottayam road around 12 AM. The front portion of the car was severely damaged in the impact. A friend of the deceased, who was also traveling in the car, sustained injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital in Pothy.
**Kozhikode: Two Youths Killed in Bike Accident**
In Thottumukkam, Kozhikode, two youths, Sooraj of Punathu Cherukampurath in Choolattippara and Muhammad Shanid of Karippadampoyil in Choolattippara, died after their bike went out of control. The incident occurred when their motorcycle, traveling from Kakkadampoyil towards Areekode, veered off the road and collided with a tree in a roadside plot. The accident happened after 8 PM. Both individuals were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Areekode, but unfortunately, their lives could not be saved.
**Malappuram: Two Fatalities as Car Hits Parked Lorry**
Another tragic accident unfolded at approximately 8:30 PM yesterday on the Talappara National Highway near Tirurangadi in Malappuram. Usman, a native of Vailathur, and Shahul Hameed, a native of Vallikkunnu, were killed when their car crashed into the rear of a parked lorry. The car was en route from Kolappuram to Kozhikode at the time of the collision. Three other individuals involved in the accident—Abbas from Puthentheru, Fahad from Vengara, and Sarjas from Tanur—sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
