Siddaramaiah and Pinarayi Vijayan Share Stage at Sivagiri Amidst ‘Bulldozer Raj’ Controversy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan shared a stage today amidst the ongoing ‘Bulldozer Raj’ controversies in Bengaluru. The two Chief Ministers came together at the Varkala Sivagiri Pilgrimage Conference, an event of significant social and cultural importance in Kerala.
During his inaugural address, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan highlighted that the Sivagiri pilgrimage has consistently served as a profound source of inspiration for the social and cultural fabric of Kerala. This joint appearance marks a notable occasion, as both Chief Ministers had previously engaged in a public exchange of criticisms regarding the ‘Bulldozer Raj’ controversy in Karnataka.
Initially, Siddaramaiah was slated to preside over the function. However, the inaugural address was delivered first, preceding his presidential speech. Following his address, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his regret at being unable to remain on stage for the entirety of the Karnataka Chief Minister’s speech, citing a pre-scheduled cabinet meeting. He then extended a handshake to Siddaramaiah before departing.
Adding to the event’s proceedings, Chief Minister Vijayan also released a new book authored by Sreemad Sandrananda Swamikal, presenting a copy to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
