**Rahul Mankootathil Exits Kerala Assembly After Responding to Opposition Note**
**Thiruvananthapuram:** In a notable development during the Kerala Assembly session, Rahul Mankootathil, a prominent political figure, unexpectedly left the assembly shortly after his arrival. Reports indicate that Mankootathil departed after responding to a note he received from KPCC President Sunny Joseph amidst the ongoing assembly proceedings. This move reportedly came despite instructions from Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan. Mankootathil was observed sitting in a special block reserved for the opposition benches, occupying a seat previously allotted to independent MLA P.V. Anwar.
Mankootathil’s unscheduled appearance in the assembly was accompanied by Nemam Shejeer, the Youth Congress District President. The presence of the Youth Congress leader alongside Mankootathil, despite prior communication from the party leadership, has reportedly put the leadership in a difficult position.
Rahul Mankootathil has announced his intention to visit his constituency, Palakkad, on Saturday. This marks his first visit to the constituency since the recent controversies emerged. Sources close to him suggest that he plans to attend the assembly in the coming days and intends to seek opportunities to speak on several important issues.
Meanwhile, Mankootathil reportedly sought an appointment to meet Deepa Das Munshi, but his request was not granted. CPM leader E.P. Jayarajan criticized Mankootathil’s actions, stating that his conduct was disrespectful to both the assembly and the public. DYFI State Secretary V.K. Sanooj echoed this sentiment, describing it as a challenge to the people. Concurrently, social media platforms are abuzz with memes and discussions speculating about the contents of the note Mankootathil received.
