Rahul Mankootathil Accuses Media of Fomenting Discord Within Congress

Thiruvananthapuram: Amid ongoing controversies, Rahul Mankootathil has issued a WhatsApp message leveling accusations against the media. He alleged that there is a deliberate agenda by some to weaken the Congress’s youth wing and its cyber warriors, stating that he is merely a pawn in these machinations. The message was shared within a Congress WhatsApp group.

Mankootathil’s message explicitly claims that the actions taken against him are part of a larger strategy to destabilize the Congress party. He further asserted that the media is engaged in a conscious and sustained effort to create divisions and conflicts among the party leadership. He urged party members, particularly those in the Youth Congress office bearers’ WhatsApp group, not to fall prey to what he described as a carefully laid trap.

Rahul Mankootathil stated in his message that the media is operating as an instrument of specific propaganda, initiating unsubstantiated attacks against prominent young leaders such as Shafi Parambil, V.T. Balram, T. Siddique, P.K. Firoz, and Jeby Mather. He characterized these actions as politically motivated moves designed to serve external interests.

The message also highlighted that instigating discord among senior leaders like K.C. Venugopal, Sunny Joseph, V.D. Satheesan, and Ramesh Chennithala is a perceived objective of these actors. Mankootathil emphasized that any internal strife among leaders inevitably weakens the Congress party as a whole, a outcome that he believes the media actively desires. He concluded by warning that if both leaders and party workers are systematically undermined in this manner, it is the Congress party itself that will ultimately suffer the consequences.
