Pathanamthitta District Collector’s Vehicle Involved in Accident; Collector Prem Krishnan Hospitalized

The official vehicle of the Pathanamthitta District Collector was involved in an accident after colliding with another car. District Collector S. Prem Krishnan, his gunman Manoj, and driver Kunjumon, who were in the vehicle, have been admitted to a private hospital in Pathanamthitta for treatment. Reports indicate that none of their injuries are critical.

The accident occurred in Konni, as the Collector was returning to Pathanamthitta after attending an official program. The Collector’s car overturned following a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle. Initial assessments suggest that both vehicles were traveling at considerable speed. The incident took place on the Punalur-Muvattupuzha road, a stretch known for frequent accidents. Five passengers from the other car involved in the collision also sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital, with no serious injuries reported among them either.
