Nair, Ezhava Communities Not Monopoly of Any Organizations, Says K. Surendran

BJP former state president K. Surendran has responded to the criticism from NSS General Secretary G. Sukumaran Nair, who stated that the BJP is not the monopoly of Hindus. Surendran emphasized that the Nair and Ezhava communities are not the exclusive property of any particular organization and that the party does not take such remarks seriously. He further clarified that the BJP has consistently adopted a pragmatic, issue-based approach when dealing with communal organizations.

Surendran also pointed out that the unity among majority communities in Kerala is causing significant apprehension among the state’s other two political fronts. He acknowledged that everyone has the freedom to agree or disagree with the statements made by leaders like G. Sukumaran Nair or Vellappally Natesan. However, he reiterated that the consolidation of majority communities in Kerala is a major source of anxiety for the existing political alliances, adding that this emerging majority unity represents a “nightmare” for these fronts.
