MLA Rahul Mamkootathil Accused of Threatening Woman into Abortion

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – The prosecution has presented a significant new argument against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil in connection with a rape case involving a young woman. Mamkootathil, who had filed an anticipatory bail application, is now accused of threatening the woman into undergoing an abortion.

According to the prosecution, Rahul Mamkootathil allegedly threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a flat, which ultimately coerced the young woman into the abortion. Further allegations claim that Mamkootathil sent abortion pills to the woman via a friend and subsequently ensured she consumed them through a video call.

These fresh accusations come as a critical development in the ongoing legal proceedings against the MLA, intensifying the scrutiny around the case and the nature of the alleged intimidation.
