Minister Abdurahiman Provoked by Messi Question; Team Pushes Away Channel Mics

THRISSUR: Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman became agitated when questioned by the media about Lionel Messi and the Argentina football team. The incident occurred on Monday when the minister arrived at Erumapetty in Thrissur for the inauguration of a school ground.

Prior to the minister’s visit, Congress MLA Hibi Eden had held a press conference, alleging mysterious dealings related to the supposed arrival of the Argentina football team in Kerala. It was while attempting to get a response from the minister regarding Hibi Eden’s accusations that Minister Abdurahiman became visibly enraged and pushed away channel microphones.

Following this, A.C. Moideen, who was accompanying the minister into the school, also intervened to block the media. Moideen reportedly pushed down microphones and instructed reporters not to create a ‘mess.’ Subsequently, the minister’s entourage also confronted the journalists, further escalating the tension at the event.
