Man Dies After Falling into Boiling Payasam Vessel at Wedding in Malappuram

Malappuram: A man who suffered severe burns after accidentally falling into a vessel of boiling payasam at a wedding house has succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as Pathoor Ayyappan, from Pathoor Colony in Thazhe Chelari. The tragic incident occurred last Saturday.

Ayyappan fell into the payasam vessel during a wedding ceremony at a relative’s house near Pappanur Shiva Temple. He lost control while stirring the payasam, which was being prepared for the wedding feast, and accidentally fell into the boiling liquid.

Ayyappan, who sustained critical injuries, was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. He passed away on Tuesday evening while undergoing treatment. Pathoor Ayyappan was a bus driver at Thazhe Chelari Velimukku AUP School. He is survived by his wife, Saraswati.
