Man Dies After Coconut Tree Falls on Scooter in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: A man died after a coconut tree toppled onto his moving scooter on the National Highway. The deceased has been identified as Pavithran (64), from Kunnumbhayeentavida Meethal, Vadakara. The tragic accident occurred around noon on Sunday.

The incident took place while Pavithran was traveling from his home to Villyappally town on his scooter. As he proceeded along a narrow lane, the coconut tree suddenly uprooted and fell directly onto him. Locals rushed to his aid, cutting away the tree to rescue him and transport him to the hospital. However, he had already succumbed to his injuries.

Pavithran is survived by his father Damodaran, mother Kunjimatha, wife Reetha, and children Aiswarya and Aswathi.
