Major Robbery in Sreekaryam: Gold and Cash Stolen from Former Calicut University Official’s House

A significant robbery has been reported in Sreekaryam, where a thief broke into a locked house, making off with 15 sovereigns of gold and four lakh rupees in cash.

The incident occurred at the residence of Anil Kumar, the former Assistant Registrar of Calicut University. The house had been unoccupied for the past four days. The robbery came to light when the residents returned this morning.

Sreekaryam police have launched an intensive search for the culprit.
