KSRTC to Launch Ganamela Troupe; Employees and Family Members Invited to Join

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is set to launch its own Ganamela (musical) troupe, inviting applications from its employees and their family members. This cultural initiative follows a direct instruction from Transport Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar.

The genesis of this idea emerged during the Minister’s Onam celebrations with News18, where he personally witnessed and recognized the exceptional talents among the KSRTC staff. During a city ride, he publicly announced his vision, stating, “These talents will not be confined within the organization; let the world witness their abilities.” This declaration is now moving towards becoming a reality.

Opportunities to join the troupe are open to both KSRTC employees and their immediate family members. Individuals who are proficient in singing or playing musical instruments are highly encouraged to submit their applications. A key requirement for application is the submission of a video showcasing their performance abilities.

Applicants must provide a video of their artistic performance, which should be a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of five minutes in length. The video should begin with a self-introduction, including the applicant’s name, designation, relationship to a KSRTC employee (if applicable), their working unit, and a contact mobile number. Any certificates that attest to their proficiency in music or a musical instrument should also be submitted along with the application.

The deadline for submitting entries is 2:00 PM on the 25th of this month. All applications must be forwarded to the Chief Office through the respective unit officer. Additionally, submissions can be made via email to ksrtcexpo@gmail.com or through WhatsApp to the number 9497001474. KSRTC has explicitly stated that any entries received after the stipulated deadline will not be considered.
