KSRTC Achieves All-Time Record with Rs 10.77 Crore in Daily Ticket Revenue

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has achieved the highest daily ticket revenue in its history. On December 15, 2025, KSRTC recorded its all-time best daily ticket revenue of Rs 10.77 crore. Including non-ticket revenue of Rs 0.76 crore, the total income for KSRTC on the same day amounted to Rs 11.53 crore.
An official statement indicated that the continuous achievement of excellent revenue by KSRTC is a result of the coordinated efforts of KSRTC CMD Dr. Pramoj Shankar, the management, employees, supervisors, and officers. On the same day last year, the ticket revenue was Rs 8.57 crore. KSRTC achieved this new milestone by improving operations, even in similar circumstances and without any increase in ticket fares compared to the previous year.
Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar stated in a press release, “The timely reform measures undertaken since I assumed office as minister, along with the continuous efforts led by the KSRTC management, have been crucial for a significant advancement towards the goal of a self-reliant KSRTC. The introduction of new buses and qualitative improvements in services have garnered widespread acceptance among passengers.”
He further added, “Through systematic operations, all KSRTC depots are currently operating profitably. The competitive efforts within depots to achieve the revenue targets set by KSRTC, reducing off-road buses to maximize their presence on the roads, and the qualitative changes brought about in services have all contributed to the increase in revenue.”
Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar concluded by extending his congratulations to KSRTC CMD Dr. Pramoj Shankar, the management, and all KSRTC employees who have worked tirelessly to achieve these continuous successes for KSRTC, and expressed gratitude to all passengers who have shown faith and stood by KSRTC.
