Kerala: Schools in Wayanad and Kozhikode Closed Tomorrow Amidst Red Alert Rains

Kalpetta: Educational institutions in two districts of Kerala will remain closed tomorrow (Wednesday) due to the extremely heavy rainfall. The holiday has been declared for schools in Wayanad and Kozhikode districts.
Both these districts are currently under a Red Alert for tomorrow. The Wayanad District Collector announced that schools will be closed tomorrow as well, given the Red Alert. The District Collector clarified that the holiday applies to all educational institutions, including tuition centers, Madrasas, Anganwadis, and professional colleges. However, the holiday will not be applicable to residential schools and colleges.
In Kozhikode district, 15 relief camps have been opened, accommodating 592 people from 165 families. Six camps have been opened in Vythiri taluk, seven in Sulthan Bathery taluk, and two in Mananthavady taluk.
The Kozhikode District Collector also announced that schools will be closed tomorrow due to the Red Alert in the district. Anganwadis, Madrasas, and tuition centers will also be included in the holiday.
