Kerala CM Informs Governor on Controversial ‘Bharat Mata’ Image; Cites Constitutional Violation

Kerala Chief Minister has conveyed his stance to the Governor regarding the controversial depiction of ‘Bharat Mata’ adorned with a saffron flag. The Chief Minister sent a letter to the Governor, stating that such imagery is unconstitutional.

The Chief Minister reminded that such pictures should not be used in government programs. He stressed that only national emblems approved by the Constitution should be used. Furthermore, he emphasized that symbols of organizations challenging secularism should not be utilized. This directive must be strictly enforced in official events, and no situation contrary to this should arise, the Chief Minister’s letter highlighted.
