Husband Arrives from UAE to Vote with Candidate Wife’s Poster on Luggage

Tirur: A curious incident unfolded when a husband, who arrived from the UAE to cast his vote in his hometown, had his candidate wife’s poster prominently displayed on his luggage. Ishaq, who runs a vegetable shop in the UAE, arrived at Karipur Airport with a suitcase adorned with his wife’s election poster.

Ishaq’s wife, Parambath Khamarunnisa, is the Left Front candidate for the 17th ward of Cheriyamundam Panchayat in Malappuram district. The unexpected campaign material on Ishaq’s baggage became a talking point among onlookers at the airport.

The unique display was reportedly orchestrated by Ishaq’s friends in the UAE. His friend in Athavanad had sent Khamarunnisa’s election poster to their mutual friends abroad. Upon learning that Ishaq was traveling home specifically to vote, his friends in the UAE secretly pasted the poster onto his luggage without his knowledge.

Ishaq only discovered the vibrant campaign poster on his suitcase upon his arrival at Karipur Airport. He then exited the airport carrying the luggage, inadvertently serving as a walking billboard for his wife’s electoral campaign.
