Schools Closed in 10 Kerala Districts Tomorrow Due to Heavy Rain Alert

Kannur: Following an alert for extremely heavy rainfall, educational institutions in ten districts across Kerala will remain closed tomorrow, May 26 (Monday). Collectors in Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Pathanamthitta, and Kottayam districts have declared a holiday for their respective educational institutions.
Due to the Red Alert and the continuing intense rainfall, District Collectors have announced that Anganwadis, Madrasas, tuition centers, and special classes should not operate tomorrow as a precautionary measure. Kannur University has postponed all examinations scheduled for tomorrow. However, the Kasaragod District Collector’s announcement clarifies that pre-scheduled examinations in that district will not be changed. The Malappuram District Collector has also stated that the holiday will not apply to residential educational institutions.
