Grinding Stone Found on Railway Track in Pachalam, Kochi; Sabotage Suspected

Kochi: A heavy grinding stone, typically used in kitchens, was discovered on a railway track in Kochi, causing alarm in the city. The stone was found placed in the middle of the track near the Pachalam bridge.
The loco pilot of the Mysuru-Kochuveli train spotted the grinding stone on the track while passing through the area. A major disaster was averted as the train was immediately stopped. Railway authorities and the police were informed promptly.
The primary focus of the investigation is to ascertain whether this was an act of sabotage. The grinding stone has been temporarily removed from the track and placed in a safe location.

Residents claim that the grinding stone, which was previously lying nearby, was placed on the tracks around 2 AM by individuals who arrived in a jeep.
