Greeshma Found Guilty in Sharon’s Murder Case at Parassala: Verdict Announced

In the sensational Parassala murder case, the court has found the accused, Greeshma, guilty of poisoning her lover Sharon by mixing pesticide in a medicinal drink. According to the prosecution, the court determined that Greeshma was guilty of charges including murder, poisoning, abduction, and misleading the police. However, Greeshma’s mother, Sindhu, who was also accused in the conspiracy, was acquitted due to a lack of evidence.

The court also found Greeshma’s uncle, Nirmal Kumar Nair, guilty of assisting in the destruction of evidence. The sentencing for the accused will be pronounced tomorrow. The verdict was delivered by Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court Judge A.M. Basheer.

The case revolves around the premeditated murder of Sharon by Greeshma, who poisoned him in an attempt to end their relationship and proceed with an arranged marriage to another man. The incident occurred on October 14, 2022. Sharon and Greeshma had been in a close relationship for years, but with her engagement to a soldier, Greeshma allegedly plotted to eliminate Sharon.

Initially, she made Sharon participate in a “juice challenge,” mixing paracetamol in the drink, but although he fell ill, Sharon survived. Later, she invited him to her house in Palukal, where she mixed pesticide in a herbal drink and offered it to him. Sharon developed severe health complications and was hospitalized but succumbed to his condition after 11 days.

Scientific evidence provided by forensic experts to the Special Investigation Team played a crucial role in the case. The chargesheet was filed on January 25, 2023.
