Five-Year-Old Boy Dies After Iron Gate Falls on Him in Cherthala
CHERTHALA: A tragic accident in Cherthala claimed the life of a five-year-old boy after an iron gate fell on him while he was playing. The deceased has been identified as Aryan, son of Subhash from Ponnatt, Arthunkal.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday evening when Aryan was playing with his friends at a neighbor’s house. The boy was reportedly playing with a movable iron gate, which was installed on a track. While playing, the gate slipped from its track and toppled onto Aryan.
Neighbors rushed to the scene and managed to pull Aryan out from under the heavy gate. He was immediately transported to a nearby private hospital for urgent medical attention. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later shifted to another private hospital in Cherthala. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, doctors were unable to save his life.
Aryan’s mother, Subi, is currently abroad. Family sources confirmed that the funeral rites would be held after her return to the country.
