DYFI Launches ‘Next-Gen Kerala Think Fest 2026’ Website

Thiruvananthapuram: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has launched the official website for its ‘Next-Gen Kerala Think Fest 2026’, an initiative aimed at providing a crucial platform for young people to share their perspectives on Kerala’s future development. The website was officially inaugurated by Smt. Veena George, the Minister for Health, Women and Child Development, at a ceremony held in Pathanamthitta.

Minister George emphasized that the Think Fest is set to foster constructive discussions regarding the future of Kerala. She highlighted its significance as a vital forum for presenting development visions aligned with contemporary times and for youth to introduce innovative ideas.

This three-month-long festival is designed to enable Malayali youth to contribute creative solutions for building the next generation of Kerala, by comprehensively understanding both the opportunities available in the state and the challenges posed by the current era. The core concept driving the festival is ‘Think Infinite’. With the launch of the website, registration for the Think Fest has commenced, along with mechanisms for participants to submit their ideas. The ‘Join Us’ campaign will actively collect opinions and suggestions from young individuals, offering them the opportunity to record their proposals for the development of Kerala and their respective fields on the website.

The festival will focus on ten pivotal themes: Public Health, Public Transport, Higher Education, Women’s Participation, Tourism, Climate Change, New Energy, Industry, Sports, and Agriculture. Throughout December, ‘Chapter Events’ will be conducted across 10 districts, facilitating discussions on Kerala’s achievements, existing challenges, and future developmental pathways within these sectors. A diverse group of participants, including ministers, public representatives, academic experts, policymakers, industrialists, and students, will be part of the festival. Creative programs such as a Development Quiz, Rap Festival, Treasure Hunt, and Exhibitions, all centered around Kerala’s development, are also planned as part of the festival. The closing ceremony of this extensive event is scheduled for 2026.

The launch event was attended by prominent DYFI leaders, including State Secretary V.K. Sanooj, President V. Vaseef, Central Committee member R. Shyama, and other State Committee members such as M. Aneesh Kumar. Ashiq Ibrahimkutty, Vineeth Kumar, and Dr. Jayamohan, who are State Committee members of the Professional Subcommittee, also participated in the program.
