Congress Not Defined by Social Media or Reels, Says V D Satheesan

Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan asserted that the Congress party’s true identity is not found on social media platforms or trending reels, but rather in the hearts of the people. His remarks came as a response to media reports regarding former MLA V T Balram stepping down from his role in the Congress social media wing.

Satheesan emphasized that the Congress boasts brave and dedicated workers, and the ongoing social media campaigns cannot sway them in the slightest. He further stated that, to his knowledge, the Kerala Congress does not possess any official social media mechanism.

Clarifying V T Balram’s position, Satheesan confirmed that Balram remains the KPCC Vice President and has not been ousted from any post. He reiterated his unawareness of an official social media system for the party in Kerala. Satheesan also highlighted concerns that numerous groups, including those with anti-Congress agendas, are being formed under the guise of the Congress name. He urged the KPCC President to investigate these matters thoroughly and take appropriate action.

Satheesan concluded by stressing the need for the KPCC President to examine the proliferation of various groups, including those hostile to Congress, operating under the party’s banner, and to initiate necessary measures.
