CCTV Cameras Mandatory in All Buses Across the State: Transport Authority Issues Order

The State Transport Authority has mandated the installation of CCTV cameras in all buses operating within the state. The directive applies to KSRTC buses, private buses, and school buses.

As per the order, three cameras must be installed in each bus to capture views from the front, rear, and inside of the vehicle. The deadline for installing these cameras is set for March 31.

Additionally, an alarm-equipped camera must be installed to monitor if the driver falls asleep while driving. The order also mandates that auto-rickshaws operating without fare meters must display a sticker informing passengers that they are not required to pay the fare in such cases.
