Bomb Threat at Chief Minister’s Official Residence; Message Received via Private Secretary’s Email

Thiruvananthapuram: A bomb threat has been reported at Cliff House, the official residence of the Chief Minister of Kerala. The alarming message was sent to the Chief Minister’s Private Secretary via email. Following the threat, a bomb squad was promptly dispatched to inspect the premises, but no explosive devices or suspicious items were found.
In a related incident, the manager of the South Indian Bank located in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram, also received a similar bomb threat message. Authorities are investigating both incidents.
Sources indicate that for some time now, various locations have been receiving such threat messages, but the origin of these communications remains elusive. The current threat messages specifically reference political issues and terrorism cases in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, suggesting a potential broader context for these alarming communications. Investigations are ongoing to identify the sender and ascertain the credibility of these threats.
