Action Against Rahul Mankootathil: Party’s Unanimous Decision, Says V.D. Satheesan

Palakkad: Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan stated that the action taken against MLA Rahul Mankootathil was based on information received by the Congress leadership. He made this clear while inaugurating the state UDF policy explanation convention. He added that the decision was taken unanimously and was not the decision of any single individual.

“An issue related to Palakkad came before the Congress leadership. Following this, the senior leaders of the party and everyone together made a decision. That decision was implemented in the case of the Palakkad MLA. He has been removed from the party and the parliamentary party. That is a decision taken by the party.” Satheesan further emphasized that this decision was taken unanimously and was not the decision of any single individual.

Meanwhile, V.D. Satheesan also confirmed that the Congress leadership has informed the UDF constituent parties and the Speaker about the action taken in this matter.
