Police Officer Found Dead on Muhamma Police Station Terrace in Alappuzha

Alappuzha: A police officer attached to the Muhamma Police Station in Alappuzha was found dead, hanging on the terrace of the station building. The deceased has been identified as CPO Santhosh Kumar, aged 45.

Santhosh Kumar had completed his night duty on Monday. His family became concerned when he did not return home by Tuesday evening and subsequently informed the police station. A search was initiated, leading to the discovery of his body hanging on the locked terrace of the police station premises.

Santhosh Kumar resided near Muhamma Chapel School and is survived by his wife and two daughters. Preliminary police assessments suggest suicide, although the definitive cause of death remains unclear.
