12-Year-Old Dies in Bus-Motorcycle Collision in Alappuzha

Alappuzha: A tragic accident in Thuravoor claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy after a private bus collided with the motorcycle he was riding. The deceased has been identified as Sabareeshan Ayyan, son of Nishad, a resident of Vayalar.

The incident occurred on Monday morning at approximately 8:30 AM, near Padmakshikavala on the National Highway. Sabareeshan, a fifth-grade student at Bishop Moore School in Pattanakkad, was traveling with his father and brother from Vayalar to Thuravoor.

According to reports, a private bus approaching from behind struck their motorcycle, causing it to lose control. The impact threw Sabareeshan, who was riding pillion, onto the road. He was subsequently run over by the rear wheel of the bus and died instantly at the scene.

His father, Nishad, and brother sustained minor injuries in the collision and are currently receiving treatment at Thuravoor Government Hospital.
